Family Card Terms and Conditions

 

  • The Family Card from StokeyParents and IslingtonMums may only be used at participating businesses as detailed on this and the Islington Mums website.  Cards must be signed by the cardholder and dated.

  • Although every effort is made to ensure businesses offer discounts for a minimum period of one year, participating businesses may vary but we’ll endeavour to keep the list healthy and up-to-date.

  • The Family Card in whatever form is not ransferrable (may not be shared with friends or family), cannot be copied and can only be used by the member who is named and registered for the card. 

  • Only one Family Card may be used per transaction, though this may be to purchase one or multiple items.

  • Unless otherwise stated on individual store descriptions or unless the store exists solely as an online business, discounts are not valid online - rather they are only valid in participating Stoke Newington, Clapton, Dalston and Islington stores.

  • Family Cards or must be presented at the checkout in order to receive discounts

  • StokeyParents and Islington mums cannot be held responsible for any loss arising from the member failing to ensure the safekeeping of the card.

  • Where the store exists solely as an online business, StokeyParents will issue a discount code alongside the card for use at online checkout.

  • Individual storeholders may choose not to accept the Family Card in conjunction with store vouchers. 

  • The Family Card may not be used to purchase vouchers at any of the participating venues.

  • Stores taking part in the scheme will be easily identifiable via a Family Card window sticker.

  • Family Card holders must have a valid postal and email address and be over the age of 16.

  • Family Cards cannot be transferred, bought, sold or in anyway traded other than by local businesses in agreement with StokeyParents and Islington Mums.

  • By purchasing the card you agree to subscribe to the StokeyParents newsletter which will keep you up to date of new businesses signing up or changes to the scheme. But you can unsubscribe at any time.

  • Your payment data is not stored by StokeyParents or IslingtonMums but is handled via PayPal and WixStore

  • Unless otherwise stated, discounts offered through the Family Card may not be used in conjunction with any other in-store or online offers including sales or multibuy.

  • The family card is not a credit card.

  • Family Cards ordered with StokeyParents will be dispatched by StokeyParents – cards ordered through IslingtonMums will be dispatched through IslingtonMums. The two community websites work in partnership but are separate organisations.

  • Your data including email address, name and home address will be treated in the strictest of confidence and will not be shared with third parties.

  • Cards are valid for one year from the date of purchase, after which cardholders will have the option of buying a new card.

  • Out of date cards will not be accepted by participating stores.

  • The Family Card is not refundable.

  • Cardholders will be updated of new businesses joining the Family Card via the StokeyParents or IslingtonMums newsletters.

  • These terms and conditions replace all previous versions, are correct as of June 2014 and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts. We reserve the rights to change these at any time on reasonable notice for legal, regulatory, business or policy reasons. Members who continue to participate in the scheme, following such a change, will be considered to have accepted the updated terms and conditions.

  • A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have no right under the contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of these terms and conditions. But this shall not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from that Act.
