New nursery offers play-focused learning for 2-5 year olds.
A new nursery in the heart of Stoke Newington opens for children aged two to five this September.
Little Londoners Day Nursery, which occupies three rooms in the courtyard of St Michael and All Angels Church, employs a qualified Early Years Teacher and has a strong focus of learning through play.
The nursery has been divided into three main spaces – the ‘serene room’ offers space to relax and ponder and has a comfy sofa and a tepee, the ‘humming room’ offers space for arts and crafts and the ‘gallery room’ is a lovely display space. Staff plan to take children on regular trips to local libraries, parks and shops.
Run by two local mothers, there’s a strong emphasis on health and this is reflected in the food they serve. There’s a strict policy against processed food and they only use organic fruit and vegetables, mostly locally sourced.
Prices start at £52 per day and the nursery is open 8am – 6pm Mondays to Fridays for 49 weeks of the year.
