Stoke Newington is part of the Pharmacy First scheme which means your local pharmacist can give advice and treat a range of minor health conditions.

 

They include headaches, colds, fevers,         hay-fever, constipation, mouth ulcers, indigestion, athletes foot, head lice, diarrhoea, thrush, bites and stings, back pain, coughs, teething and sprains.

 

All you need to do to benefit from the scheme is fill in a pink registration form at your doctors surgery. You don’t have to make an appointment with the pharmacist – just turn up..

A free online counselling service which provides support and advice has been launched in Hackney.

The Big White Wall is= monitored by trained counsellors 24 hours a day. It’s open to everyone and those behind the scheme are particularly keen to reach new parents who may be experiencing anxiety and stress.
